It seems I still can't keep my money. It's a pretty good album. I'm still listening to it all. You can tell Billie Joe is much older in the last few songs.

It's one of those albums that you have to listen to a few times to really enjoy.

I love the cover and the inside book with the lyrics. There are really cool fonts, backgrounds and pictures with the graffti theme which I love. It's their second album with that theme. Shenanigans has it too. Check out all there albums here or here where I list them.

This morning I cleaned at my Nan's then at my Mum's work. Then I went to Eastlands and bought the essentials winter things like slippers, warm pants and this album. Then went to my bro.'s soccer game. Hehe, some of the guys he played and some on his team are really hot. (bad thoughts)

Hope everyone has had a good day too. Cya.

Agyness Deyn

Posted by Gєммα;∂ιℓєммα. | Labels: , , , ,

Well hello there! This is the 100th post. Hooray!

I am celebrating by pretending to crack a bottle open and by showing you some recent pictures I got somewhere of Agyness Deyn. (I have some more somewhere but I cbf looking for them. I'm tired... hmmphf.)

She is so stylish and I love her hair. I know people think she is copying Pixie Geldof but I don't care because I love her so much. Haha.

We had an awesome music concert at lunch today. It was hell fun. Eilish played. Havoc was caused. Kids rocked out. Kids swayed. Pretty epic.

Have a good day/night.

New

Well, Happy Birthday Eilish. I love you <3> Hope you had a good day :D

Today I acquired the Girlfriend May 2009 issue,. Pretty cool. I just love the behind the scenes pictures and the editiorials. Some of the articles are extremely lame and they do try to be hip and punk occasionally which is just a bit sad. But other than that they are like any other mainstream teenage girl focused magazine.

This came with the pilot episode to Gossip Girl which I am starting to love for their clothes. I have read the author of Gossip Girl's other series - The IT Girl. She is a really good writer. So I might watch some gossip girl episodes and buy some of the books. In an old issue of GF they had a picture of some wardrobe stuff from the Gossip Girl set and all of the bags they use - OMFG. I am so jealous.

Anyways, here is the cover for it. Check it out.

Well here are the albums I got Eilish, I hope you like them...

Hot Fuss by The Killers & Because of the Times by Kings of Leon, pretty awesome if I do say so myself.

1. Jenny Was a Friend of Mine
2. Mr. Brightside (has music video)
3. Smile Like You Mean It
4. Somebody Told Me (has music video)
5. All These Things That I've Done (has music video)
6. Any, You're a Star
7. On Top
8. Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll
9. Believe Me Natalie
10. Midnight Show
11. Everything Will Be Alright

1. Knocked Up
2. Charmer (has music video)
3. On Call (has music video)
4. McFearless
5. Black Thumbnail
6. My Party
7. True Love Way
8. Ragoo
9. Fans
10. The Runner
11. Trunk
12. Camaro
13. Arizona

Hope everyone else had a good day; everything kinda fixed itself for me. I'm still not playing soccer but I get to stay at Eilish's party and go to the Hamilton Show on Sunday. Hooooray!

Bye-bye.

Cat Empire

Posted by Gєммα;∂ιℓєммα. | Labels: ,

"THE CAT EMPIRE
SUNDAY 22ND MARCH 2009
WITH PAPRIKA BALKANICUS

Guess whose back? THE CAT EMPIRE. After a quieter year by Empire standards, the guys are pulling together their ever-entertaining troupe to hit the road in Australia, with the announcement of 16 shows, and more to follow.

Having declared some 'long service leave' for 2008,THE CAT EMPIRE, who had been on a seemingly never-ending international tour, have spent this year closer to home; Felix delved into his classical side, Will return to study town planning, Ollie has been seen on stages in Melbourne almost every night of the week, Ryan has been doing whatever Ryan does, Harry has been on tour with JACKSON JACKSON, and Jumps spent a month in India, leaving Mumbai just 24 hours before trouble started.

Having tasted some 'normal' life, the guys are keen to get back on the road. Their first shows back will be on the juggernaut known as Falls Festival (Lorne and Tassie), Southbound (WA) and Sunset Sounds (QLD). After opening Sydney Festival (Jan 10) in style, it's straight into the rehearsal studio to prepare for the February/March national tour.

Joining them on the road are the PAPRIKA BALKANICUS (Romania, Serbia & Slovenia). The Cat Empire first met these self proclaimed "masters of great atmosphere" in the wee hours of Edinburgh Festival in 2003. Paprika Balkanicus play a fiery blend of Balkan, Eastern European and Gypsy music. Mio Matsuda Japan sum up their show as an "Amazing performance - they hit the audience like a Balkan storm!"

Local band Bone Rattlers will also take stage, Equal parts Rockabilly, Punk, Garage, (and a healthy dose of Rock n Roll), Bone Rattlers have been playing sweaty shows to punters all over the country."

I love the effing Cat Empire. According to a friend, they are shit live but I don't care because I looove them. I don't know if I can go yet but if I can, you are going too, Eilish. It's on Sunday for around $60 at the gates.

This is so exciting!!!

*waves happily* Byeee

Sounds of Melodies

Posted by Gєммα;∂ιℓєммα. | Labels: ,

My new blogsite has officially started and it's going to be as big as this one - but totally devoted to music not just randomness of art, fashion & music.

I have started it along with my friend Eilish (also from http://eilishh-theycanseeitinyoureyes.blogspot.com/) and it will be about all the music we can get our hands on... especially updates on the status of our favourite bands, music videoclips, videoclips of other band doings, music, news of tours and shows we will in the future go to (because we will go to many, many, many shows, Eilish). Along with all the obvious things that come with a music blogsite, we will talk about some TV, Podcasts, comedy shows and radio shows - anything that you can hear really.

It will regularly feature bands from our favourite genres - alternative, punk rock, college rock, american trad rock & metal/screamo. My favourite bands atm - Paramore & The All-American Rejects (both touring at the moment). Eilish's favourite bands atm - My Chemical Romance & Green Day & old Fall Out Boy (I think). Hopefully that will explain what we like :D

Please visit all the time because we will post at least once a day each - music is very important to us - and enjoy the news of the rock/alt/punk music world. :D

12. Can't Take It

In other music news... the Triple J's Hottest 100 vol. 16 is out Friday (6/3/2009)! Yipee! This is exciting because this year they have some great bands in the top 100 - even though the CD's don't feature them all.

Paramore

Posted by Gєммα;∂ιℓєммα. | Labels: , ,

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, My recent obsession is Paramore. And very, Very, VERY, VERY!! bad news. So far, they have only confirmed tour dates for America for their new album. Gah. They start touring in May once they finish writing their upcoming album. I hate them. They HAVE to come to Australia. UNFAIR, UNFAIR, UNFAIR, UNFAIR. I am going to scream.

I need to punch something. Please check out their website ( http://www.paramore.net/ ) and love them, worship them, appreciate them.

I'm going off to cry now *stomps foot*. (I'm not saying goodbye, this is serious.)

Graffiti Art

Posted by Gєммα;∂ιℓєммα. | Labels: , , ,

I have an 'applied art' class at school that is basically all about street art. All I can say is W-O-W. It's amazing what some people can do and I am sooooo jealous. You have to pay attention to graffiti now, so much cool stuff.

We were looking at pictures of random graffiti and I came across this amazing site you have to check out: http://www.fatcap.com/
Some amazing shizz..

Isn't he cute??? :)

Awwww... happy things. School is already becoming an endless cycle of boredom that involves nothing more interesting than learning to get sick of people and bang your head on the desk in frustration.

Thank goodness for my British India.... and big news!!! They are playing at the Uni Bar soonish and again later in March and April. Gosh, I love small bands that come down here and don't just play on the mainland.

Fall Out Boy, Hey Monday and The All-American Rejects are touring around the mainland too... grrrrr, I want to go so badly. I am stealing Eilish's Shortstack CD just to resist the urge to KILL EVERYONE.

Just to make you happy, check out http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=30823462&searchid=b002bb4d-c72f-47db-ba39-5e7d7f6fda4e

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Posted by Gєммα;∂ιℓєммα. | Labels: , , ,

Uh-oh, it seems i simply can not go to any store and resist buying a CD. I can give you a billion excuses but I think I have a problem - just like that movie 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' (except with out the debt - and having to get a job - and having to solve all my problems - etc. etc. - I haven't actually seen the movie btw. It's also not going on my to-do list). Over the past two months I have bought ten albums *hangs head in shame*.

Jack's Mannequin - The Glass Passenger is the most recent buy. Great band. Apparently it's 'piano rock' although little piano compared to how you expect it to be. Quite fun and pretty easy-listening. *big thumbs up*

1. Crashin'
2. Spinning
3. Swim
4. American Love
5. What Get's You Off
6. Suicide Blonde
7. Annie Use Your Telescope
8. Bloodshot
9. Drop Out - The So Unknown
10. Hammers and Strings (A Lullaby)
11. The Resolution
12. Orphans
13. Caves
14. [bonus track] Miss California

School is already too boring for words and I am over-homeworked. Considering sueing because my brain is almost officially a rusty heap of metal. There are waaay too many uniform restrictions and no-one can do anything fun or unique or remotely interesting.

*sigh* Goodnight fellow blog-go-ers
